Architect LA pc was established 1982 in Portland, Oregon by Architect Larry Abell.
The firm is currently located in Baker City in eastern Oregon, which is the geographical center of our work in the Pacific Northwest. In fact, all of our Northwest work is within a 300 mile radius of Baker City. Architect LA also maintains a branch office in Portland.
We have developed a reputation for providing creative solutions to a variety of challenging projects. The firm specializes in integrating building, parking and landscaping into cohesive well-planned designs that are contextual and inspiring.

During the past twenty years, the firm has successfully completed a number of projects in a variety of building types in the Northwest. For the past ten years the firm has specialized in new and remodeling work for a number of churches in Oregon, Idaho and Washington. Currently, the firm is working on church projects throughout Oregon including Portland, Salem, Sandy, Troutdale, and Woodburn, as well as Twin Falls, Idaho and Sunnyside, Washington.
A member of The American Institute of Architects since 1976, Mr. Abell was selected a member of the design awards committee for the City of Beaverton. He has taught Architectural Design and served on design juries at Portland State University. Mr. Abell also served as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Grunewald Guild.
Mr. Abell’s work has received numerous local and regional awards and has been published in the AIA Journal.
